Healthcare and school building painting in Collier County

Collier County's medical offices and school buildings share one demand: the space must be ready for the next day. A clinic needs its waiting room, and a school needs its hallways and classrooms. The quote starts with the calendar of the people who use the building.

A worker in a gray protective suit and respirator holding an airless spray wand in a white room.

Medical suites need clean, low-odor work with controlled dust. Zones are sealed, high-touch surfaces get a washable finish, and areas are returned after cleaning. Infection control rules belong to the facility, and we ask for them in writing and follow them.

Schools run to a clear calendar of breaks and summer. Classrooms, corridors, gymnasiums and exteriors are planned for those windows. Work in a school with students present follows the district's or school's own rules for who can be on site and when.

Older buildings add one more step. Paint applied before 1978 can contain lead, and federal rules cover child-occupied facilities. We check the building's age and use before a scope is written. Send the building and the schedule, and we quote it as you describe it.

Order of work

  1. Walk the building and review the facility's rules and calendar.
  2. Check the building's age and use for lead-safe rules.
  3. Agree zones, hours and sign-in or screening rules.
  4. Seal zones, protect equipment and prepare the surfaces.
  5. Apply finish coats and clean each zone.
  6. Walk the zone with the facility contact and return it.

Where it goes wrong

The usual problems, and how each is held in check

Dust near patients or children

Sealed zones, protected air returns and wet cleaning keep dust from traveling. The facility's own infection or safety rules come first.

Short windows

Breaks and closures are limited. We schedule from the window backward and flag anything that could push the work past it.

Lead in older paint

Older paint may contain lead. The building's age is checked before any sanding, and lead-safe rules apply where they cover the work.

The limits

Infection control plans, background screening and access rules belong to the facility. Romco quotes the painting of clinics and schools; it does not operate them.

Questions

About healthcare and school building painting

Can work be done when school is out?

That is the usual plan. Breaks and summer are used for the large areas, and short evening phases cover the rest.

Do you follow a facility's infection control rules?

Yes. We ask for the rules in writing before the scope is final and plan the zones, products and cleaning around them.

What affects the cost of commercial painting?

No rate card exists, because two buildings are never alike. A quote is built after someone looks at the building, or at photos and plans good enough to show it. What moves it: the surface types and their wear, washing and repair needs, the coating system, how crews get to each wall, whether people are inside, and which approvals come first.

What size of painting job do you quote?

No size is too small or too large to quote. That covers a single tenant suite or storefront as readily as a Gulf-front tower, a farm packing building or an airport hangar. Tell us about the building and its surfaces, and the scope follows from that.

Is Romco Builders licensed?

Yes. Romco Builders holds a Florida general contractor license. The company was founded in 2015 and has its office in Fort Lauderdale. Ask for the license details and they arrive with your quote.

How a job runs

Six steps, in this order

  1. Send the address and surfaces

Phone us or fill in the quote form. Say what is being painted, who remains inside and whether a date matters.

  2. We walk the building

We inspect the surfaces and how they have weathered, work out how crews reach each wall, and list what must be shielded.

  3. Written scope and quote

In the quote you will find the prep, the coating system, how crews get up, the phases, and each step held back by an approval.

  4. Approvals and permits

A board or landlord color decision, city design review, permits that the work might trigger, and airport or site badging all come before the first coat.

  5. Prep and coating

Wash, repair, prime, then finish coat, in the agreed order. Anything beneath an overhead crew stays shielded.

  6. Punch list and handover

Together we inspect the result, clear whatever is on the punch list, and give you a record of the coating for the building file.
